Sterile Suction catheter

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

• Suction Catheter is used to provide access to respiratory tract to remove secretion with maximum comfort to the patient.

Features:

• For removal of Secretion from trachea and bronchial region.
• Soft, frosted and kink resistant PVC tubing.
• A traumatic, soft & rounded open tip with two lateral eyes.
• Available with open end.
  Color coded connector for easy identification of size.
• Catheter Length: 52 cm.
• Sizes: 6 FG to 20 FG.

Material:

• Medical Grade P.V.C. (DEHP free)

Instruction for Use:

For Nasal Route

• Keep the patient in lying position and place a linen-savor pad across the patient chest.
• Lubricate the tip of the tube with water-soluble lubricant.
• Examine the nasal route and insert the tip of the tube through nasal route & turn the tube towards nasopharyngeal junction and advance it downward.
• Patient may be allowed to sip water to facilitate easy intubation.
• Connect the connector of tube with the suction machine.

For Oral Route

• Lubricate the tip of the tube with water-soluble lubricant.
• Place the tip of the tube under the tongue of the patient and give him some water to sip and advance the tube till the mark.
• Connect the connector of tube with the suction machine.

Cautions:

• The patient is allowed to speak minimum to ensure the tube is not in larynx.
• Do not use if package is open or damaged.
• Discard after single use
